Breaking a record requires more than effort — it requires a different strategy. When I applied for the Explore Learning grant, I wasn't just seeking access to new tools. I was proposing a complete rethinking of how our grade level approached math instruction.

The grant gave us access to Frax and Reflex — AI-powered platforms that adapt to each student's learning pace and fill foundational gaps that traditional instruction often misses. I integrated these tools into a broader multimodal framework, ensuring that technology supported instruction rather than replacing the relational, responsive teaching that high-need students require.

The results spoke for themselves. Our grade level achieved a 56 percent pass rate on the math EOG — up from 41 percent the prior year and the highest in our school's history. More importantly, the system we built is repeatable. It was not a one-time result — it was a model.

“Securing a competitive grant, implementing new technology at scale, and producing measurable ROI — that is exactly what organizations look for in a learning and development professional.”

Leading from the Front: Technology & School Strategy

Impact at scale requires more than classroom results — it requires leadership. As my school's technology go-to, I was the person colleagues turned to when new platforms were introduced, when tools weren't working, and when nobody else knew what to do. I became fluent in educational technology not because it was required, but because I understood what it could unlock for learners.

As a Team Lead and two-year member of the school leadership team, I contributed to strategic planning at the organizational level — including two years of developing the School Improvement Plan. That experience gave me a clear understanding of how instructional decisions connect to institutional goals, how to communicate across teams with different priorities, and how to drive initiatives that outlast any single school year.

I am also someone who invests in my own development. I am currently completing coursework on AI through Claude — not because my role requires it, but because staying ahead of the technology curve is how I continue to deliver results.

These results were built in one of the most challenging environments in education. Imagine what's possible with the resources of a corporate team behind them.
